According to Senior Vice-President Doug Anderson “Based on what they had heard to date, Canadians are mildly, not wildly, supportive of last week’s federal budget. Quebec residents, youth and those with lower household incomes present a bit of a communications challenge, but no demographic subgroup finds a majority opposing the budget. These opinions on the budget are likely still quite soft and the impact of criticisms may not be known for a while, but the fact that support for the budget extends beyond partisan support may provide some modest opportunity for improvement in Conservative vote intention.”
